Dandelion Paws Grooming & Boarding
A home away from home for dogs and cats, where professional care comes with the warmth of a small, woman owned business. Grooming for dogs, boarding for both. Not a large commercial kennel. Not an assembly line grooming salon. We know the pets, we know the families, and we treat every one of them as an individual.
We are a small, woman owned licensed boarding kennel on a quiet stretch of SC Helms Road. Country, comfortable, cheerful, and welcoming, with a little bit of whimsy that fits the Dandelion Paws name. Grooming and boarding each have their own dedicated space, so every service stays calm and focused. Whether a pet is in for a fresh groom or staying for a little stay-cation, the goal is for them to feel safe, loved, comfortable, and excited to come back.

A comfortable place to stay
A licensed North Carolina boarding kennel with climate controlled kennels, supervised play throughout the day, and someone who knows your pet by name. Overnight boarding includes daycare activities, and you can add a checkout bath so they go home fresh. We board cats as well, in their own cat condos at $30 a day, or $50 a day for two from the same family. Nail trims are $15 for any pet. Grooming and bathing are for dogs only.
A real yard, just like home
Fully fenced, plenty of grass, a big maple for shade on warm mornings, and a covered shelter for hot afternoons. Dogs go home happy here.

The heart behind Dandelion Paws
Amy Nance is the proud owner of Dandelion Paws Dog Grooming and Boarding, where her passion for animals and dedication to quality care shows up in every single day.
With a deep love for dogs and a heart for serving her community, Amy created Dandelion Paws to be a place where pets are treated like family. She believes every pet deserves compassionate care, a safe environment, and plenty of love while away from home.
A devoted dog mom herself, Amy understands what pet parents expect and appreciate when it comes to the care of their four legged children. She is not just the owner on paper. Amy operates the place day to day, and her hands are still in it even though she no longer grooms.
When she is not at Dandelion Paws, Amy enjoys cheering on the Tar Heels, relaxing with a classic Coca-Cola, and watching old sitcoms. She became a Gramy for the first time this past June.

Makaylah
Hey y'all, I'm Makaylah! I have two and a half years of boarding and bathing experience, along with nail trims and sanitary trims. I am born and raised in Marshville and cannot wait to meet all the new faces.
I live on a small farm with my husband, where we have four dogs, three cats, four horses, a pony, donkeys, cows, and a goat named Ellie Mae.
Fun facts: I used to compete in barrel racing and beauty pageants, I have been hog hunting, and I love the mountains and spending time with family.
Bry · Professional Groomer
Bry
Hello, I'm Bry, and I am excited to join the team at Dandelion Paws. I have been a professional groomer for eight years with extensive experience across most breeds. I am trained in a range of breed standard cuts and specialize in working with temperamental or anxious dogs.
Outside of grooming, I am a mother of two daughters and have a senior dog, ten cats, and three hens. I am also an artist across many mediums, including pet portraits, custom shirts, and jewelry, and I make paintings and mugs with my eldest daughter. Grooming is another creative outlet for those skills.
I look forward to meeting you all soon.

Dandelion Paws is licensed and inspected by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. That means the kennels, the records, and the care standards are all reviewed by the state, not just by us.
